Flora Holland

Mrs. Flora Pearl Holland, 96, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Rector Nursing and Rehab Center in Rector, AR. Mrs. Holland was born in Newton, KS., on March 4, 1917. She worked in factories as an assembler, as a store sales clerk and she also work on the farm. She enjoyed working in her yard and quilting. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She married her hsband Raymond Holland on January 15, 1955. He preceded her in death October 2, 1992.

She is survived by one granddaughter Tonie Smith of Palm Harbor, FL.; two nieces Elga McDonald of Corning, AR., and Barbara Lunsford of Ash Flat, AR.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Jacob and Clara (Parrish) Spicer; her daughter Shirley Dean Smith; brother Andrew Spicer; sister Anna Woods and niece Glenda Rouse.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the services at Salem Cemetery near Boydsville, AR. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
