Florence White, age 82, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on March 12, 2026, at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
Born on October 23, 1944, in Corning, Arkansas, Florence devoted many years of her life to serving at L.A. Darling before retiring. She found great joy in cooking, shopping, tending to her flower garden, and cherishing moments spent with her beloved family. A woman of deep faith, she was an active member of the Baptist community.
On May 6, 1963, Florence married James White, with whom she shared 62 wonderful years of marriage filled with love and companionship.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, James White; daughter, Tonya (Travis) Causey of Dexter, Missouri; son, Mark (Tracey) White of Jacksonville, Arkansas; brother, Jerry Kirby of Corning, Arkansas; sisters, Linda (Gary) Crawford of Florissant, Missouri, and Rosemary Shipley of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; grandchildren, Jonathon, Monica, Kalli, and Drew; great-grandchildren, Lily, Trystin, Keilyn, and James Riley; along with numerous other cherished relatives and friends.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Owen H. and Rosalee (Nesbitt) Kirby; brother, Glen Kirby; and sisters, Wilma Rice and Billie Sue Holland.
A graveside service will be held on March 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri. Bro. Herbert Ellis will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to Ermert Funeral Home in Corning, Arkansas.
Florence’s family and friends will remember her kindness, dedication, and the warmth she brought to all who knew her. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to share in her life.
