Flossie Ashby

Flossie Ashby, 92, of Knobel, AR., passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mrs. Ashby was born November 19, 1931 in Knobel, AR. She was a homemaker and caregiver who devoted her life to taking care of others. She made sure anyone who entered her home felt loved and they never left hungry. Her greatest joy in life was loving and spending time with her family.

On October 15, 1949, she married Wilburn “Fodge” Ashby. They were married 65 years prior to his death on July 26, 2015.

Survivors include her children Leslie (Carolyn) Ashby of Paragould; Margaret (Philip) Flurry of Neelyville, MO and Stanley (Phyllis) Ashby of Corning; twin sister Lois Foster of St. Charles, MO; 7 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Garland and Ellen Mary (Dowdy) Green and siblings Mildred Mae, Elva, Norma, Buford, Howard, Nildo “Jack”, Dean, Bill and Nona.

Visitation will be held Wednesday July 3, 2024 at 12:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin 1:00 PM with Jerry Sollis officiating. Burial will follow the services at Bond Cemetery in Knobel, AR.
