Mrs. Frances Marie Wheat, 70, of Iuka, MS., passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Magnolia Regional Medical Center in Corinth, MS. Mrs. Wheat was born April 23, 1951 in Parma, MO. She worked in retail and served as a personal aid carong for many disabled and elderly clients. She cared for several babies and young children in Corning, AR. She was a proud housewife, mother and caregiver, but her greatest joy was taking care of her grandchildren whenever she got the chance. She attended several churches throughout her life and although she was unable to attend recently due to her health, she did treasure the moments with her family at Oak Hill Christian Church in Corinth, MS. She loved sewing, drawing, coloring, and shopping for bargains and collectibles.
On May 10, 1972, she married Morris Curtis Wheat, Jr. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1991.
Survivors include her children James Curtis Wheat and April Michelle and husband Steven Labbee; brother Jim Taylor; sister Betty and husband Rick Letson; and grandchildren Battle and Katie.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents France Albert and Janie Lois (Smith) Taylor; brothers David and Kenneth Taylor; and sisters Joann Dearman, Dixie Richmond and Patricia Stow.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 30, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Frank Williams officiating. Burial will follow the service at Antioch Cemetery in Oxly, MO.
