Frank Ellis, 72, of Bowling Green, KY., received his heavenly reward on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. Frank was born in Detroit, MI., on April 3, 1951. He was a Millwright; he also was a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and pastored for many years. Frank was well known for his ever-present smile, he loved to play the Banjo, sing and share the good news of the gospel. He was a current member of the Bible Center Assembly in Bowling Green, KY.
He married Anita Downey-Ellis on June 19, 2021, she survives. Other survivors are his children Lori (James) Stevens of Franklin, KY., Jamin (Melinda) Ellis of Phenix City, AL., Mark Ellis of Madisonville, KY., and Kachina (David) Lopez of Franklin, KY.; step-daughters MaLissa (Justin) Lack and LaTrisha (Charles) Lawrence; daughter-in-law Jennifer Ellis; sisters Marilyn Beebe, Charlene Brinson and Lois Redus; grandchildren Nathan, Caleb, Jared, Tabitha, Judah, Josiah, Abel, Charles and Molly; nine step-grandchildren and one step great-grandson.
Frank was preceded in death by his first wife Judy (Beecher) Ellis in July of 2008; his parents James Franklin and Thula Virginia (Shrum) Ellis; siblings Brenda Ellis, Paul Ellis, George Ellis and Marie Toole.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 at 12:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the services at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, AR.
