Mr. Fred Harold, 82, of Heber Springs, AR., formerly of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at home. Mr. Harold was born in Poplar Bluff, MO., on February 24, 1935. He was self-employed, he enjoyed fishing and duck hunting, he served his country as a member of the United States Army, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Corning.
He is survived by his wife Ruth (Wise) Harold of the home; three children Joniece Trammel of Pocahontas, Teri Lewis of Branson, MO., and Scott Harold of Corning; four step-children Tony Pettigrew of Michigan, Karen Gardner of Searcy, John Gearhart of Fairfield Bay and Lisa Haile of Heber Springs; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents Don Boyd and Geraldine (Wilkerson) Harold.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Steve and Mickel Jones officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, December 11, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice Conway, 1105 Deer Street, Suite 10, Conway, AR 72032 or to the American Cancer Society.
