Mr. Gale Dean, 89, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2010 at John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Dean was a factory worker, farmer and a car salesman, he was a member of Calvery Baptist Church in Corning and the Disabled American Veterans, he proudly served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Army.
He was married to wife Mozzell E. (Strong) Dean, she preceded him in death.
He is survived by one daughter Patsy Miller of Corning, AR.; four sisters Shirlene Parker and Georgia Herren both of Corning, AR, Earlene Moore of Maynard, AR., Christene Winingnear of Bloomfield, MO.; three brothers A.C. Dean of McDougal, AR., Willard Dean of Fairdealing, MO., Roy Dean of Fredricktown, MO.; two grandchidren Deanna Robinson of Piggott, AR., Terrie Montgomery of Poplar Bluff, MO.; four great grandchildren Destiny Robinson, Justin, Stephanie and Elizabeth Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mozzell Dean; parents Thomas and Viola(Higgs) Dean; two daughters Sharon Kay Spear and Joyce Dean, three sisters Ruth Atkerson, Willie and Brooksie Dean.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sunny Williams officiating. Burial will follow the service at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, AR. Public visitation will be Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
