Gene Miller

Mr. Paul Eugene "Gene" Miller, 73, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mr. Miller was born in Poplar Bluff, MO., on March 10, 1941. He retired as Street Department Supervisor for the City of Corning, having served 45+ years of employment with the city. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Corning.

He married his wife of 50 years Oreda "Rita" Alsada (Lunsford) Miller on March 21, 1964. She survives, other survivors include two sons Steve Miller of Searcy, AR., Tony Miller of Pocahontas, AR.; one sister Shirley Miller of Pocahontas, AR.; five grandchildren Samantha Winebaugh, Will Woods, Blake Woods, Dylan Miller, Austin Miller; three great-granchildren Cooper Winebaugh, Jaxson Woods and Grady Woods.

He was preceded in death by parents Ira and Jessie (Eddington) Miller; seven brothers Carl Miller, Gordon Miller, Willis Miller, Jerry Miller, Wayne Miller, Jimmy Miller, Clyde Miller; two sisters Violet Crowley and Helen Eddington.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kent Modlin officiating. Burial will follow the service at Nelson Cemetery near Reyno, AR., with Military Honors. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
