Mrs. Geneva Ella Jones, 97, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Corning Therapy and Living Center In Corning, AR. Mrs. Jones was born in Knobel, AR., on January 25, 1920. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.
She married her husband of 70 years Mr. Willis A. Jones on September 7, 1935. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2005.
She is survived by two daughters Donna Romine of Piggott, AR., Sharon Bratcher of Batesville, AR.; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son Charlie Jones; her parents Benjamin Andrew and Ida Florence (Burton) Crowell; three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the services at Hitt Cemetery in Success, AR. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
