George William Catt

Mr. George William Catt, 79, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at home. Mr. Catt was born February 7, 1942 in Cherry Valley, AR. He retired from the United States Army as a Sergeant First Class. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports, spending time with his family, mowing grass, gardening, and woodworking.

On August 3, 1967, he married the love of his life, Glenda Carter, in Las Vegas, NV. They were married 27 years prior to her death on April 3, 1995.

Survivors include his children Grace (Derek) McDowell of Frisco, TX., Theresa (Jody) Petago of Pollard, AR., Misty Byrd of Jonesboro, AR., and John Catt of Corning, AR.; grandchildren Gary, Natalie, Derrica, Savannah, and Caden; and great-grandchildren Alaska and Malachi.

In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents Earl and Mable (Cobb) Catt.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel, with Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 PM with Reverend Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery.
