Georgia Lee Herring

Corning

Georgia Herring, 94, of Corning passed away October 1, 2021 at Corning Therapy and Living Center.

Mrs. Herring was born March 11, 1927 in Leachville. She was retired from Basler Electric. She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, arts, crafts, and spending time with her family. She attended True Light Missionary Baptist Church in McDougal and most recently, she attended First General Baptist Church in Corning.

On April 24, 1944, she married Ralph Herring. They celebrated 63 years of marriage prior to his death on February 7, 2008.

Survivors include her daughter Judy Dyle of Corning; brother Roy Dean of Fredericktown, MO; sisters Shearlene Parker of Bono and Earlene Moore of Maynard; grandchildren Rodney and Telly Hefner, DJ and Joe Dyle; and great grandson Brandon Hefner.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Thomas H. and Edith Nancy (Dixon) Dean, four brothers and one sister.

Visitation will be Monday October 4, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Burial will be at Corning Cemetery.
