Mr. Gerald Howard Williams, 65, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Williams was born in Tipperary, AR., on August 9, 1948. He was a aviation mechanic having worked for Ag Air, Roy Coleman, Sharp Aviation and Hart Aviation. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in his shop and flying. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He was of the Baptist faith.
He married his wife Sharon Ann (White) Williams in 1993. She survives. Others survivors include son Tony Williams and wife Leigh of Corning, AR.; step-son Terry Smith and wife Leigh Ann of Corning, AR.; two sisters Barbara Byers of Nashville, TN., Ruth Dabbs of Fort Myers, FL.; three grandchildren Tripp Williams, Natalie Smith and Brantley Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank Rushian and Helen Kathryn (McNeely) Williams and one brother Ernest Willie Williams.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 4:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Wheetley officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM until the time of sevice.
