Geraldine Lowe

Mrs. Geraldine (Abbott) Lowe, 85, of Poplar Bluff, MO., formerly of McDougal, AR., passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at The Cedargate Skilled Nursing Facilty in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mrs. Lowe was born in Pollard, AR., on February 13, 1928. She was a homemaker. She especially loved her children and grandchildren and the family get-togethers at her home. She was saved and baptized at a very early age, she loved her savior and was a true believer in Jesus Christ. She had most recently attended the Apostolic Tabernacle in Poplar Bluff.

She married her husband Reverend Travis Lowe on December 24, 1945 in McDougal. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2011.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda Lowe of Poplar Bluff, MO.; her three sons James Lee Lowe and wife Bonnie of Philadelphia, MS., Tommy Lowe and wife Helen of Williamsville, MO., Sam Lowe and wife Donna of Marthasville, MO.; six grandchildren Shari Councell of Palm Bay, FL., James David Lowe of Granite City, IL., Aimee Stucker of Edwardsville, IL., Matthew Lowe of Saint Charles, MO., Lucas Lowe and wife Lauren of Princeton, MO., Lindsay and husband Ross Brand of Saint Charles, MO.; two great-grandchildren; one sister Freda Holifield of Wentzville, MO.; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parent James and Ethel (Landers) Abbott; two brothers Elvis Abbott and Elmer Abbott.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Sammy Worley and Bryan Malone officiating. Burial will follow the service at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
