Mr. Glen C. Kirby, 76, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Kirby was born in Reyno, AR., on May 15, 1940. He was a self-employed contractor, and he bred and raised dogs over twenty years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
He married his wife of 56 years Mrs. Patricia Fern (Clayton) Kirby on September 25, 1960, she survives. Other survivors include two daughters Debbie and husband Edward Burns of Corning, AR., Angie Craft of Corning, AR.; six grandchildren Steven Burns and wife Ashley, Tina Graham, Mallory Brown, Kertricia Farmer, Christopher Fitzgerald, Abbie and husband Lane Bodie; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother Jerry Kirby and wife Mae of Knobel, AR.; three sisters Linda and husband Gary Crawford of Eureka, MO., Florence and husband James White of Maynard, AR., Rosemary Shipley of Camden, MO.; brother-in-law Billy Joe Holland of Saint Charles, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Owen H. and Rosalee (Nesbitt) Kirby; one grandson Brian Fitzgerald; two sisters Sue Holland and Wilma Rice.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kent Modlin officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
