Mr. Glendon McGuire, 89, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his son's home in Pocahontas, AR. Mr. McGuire was born in Corning, AR., on April 29, 1928. he was a farmer who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was of the Protestant faith.
He survived by his children Jim McGuire and wife Raetta of Pocahontas, AR., Barry McGuire of Loves Park, IL., Glenda and husband Jim Bean of Salisbury, NC., Vickie Mandock of Loves Park, IL.; brother Darrell McGuire of Clarksdale, MS.; sisters Willidean Houltzhousher of Malden, MO., Kay Hayes of Kennett, MO.; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his lifelong companion Louise Turner; his mother Katie McGuire; his foster parents Selmar and Vivian Walker and a brother Dee McGuire.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Richwoods Cemetery in Corning, AR., with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until the time of services.
