Goldie Fay Fairchild

Goldie Fairchild, 96, of Sand Rock, AL passed away May 23, 2023 at home.

Mrs. Fairchild was born July 10, 1926 in Knobel. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, laughing, telling stories, singing and loved country music. She was of the Baptist faith.

On February 26, 1946, she married Harry Augusta “June” Fairchild. They were married 56 years prior to his death on March 4, 2002.

Survivors include her children Larry (Pat) Fairchild of Branson, MO, Debbie (Danny) Bone of Sand Rock, AL and Kenny (Lorri) Fairchild of Heber Springs; brother Collis Archer of Paragould; sisters Kay (Weldon) Haller of Knobel and Norma (Roy) Hanner of Poplar Bluff, MO; grandchildren Steve Fairchild, Jeff Fairchild, Amanda Gray, David Bone, Lori Holyfield, Kimberly Wall, and Kayla Fairchild; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents Henry Gordon and Alta (Wiseman) Archer; sisters Opal Fairchild, Alma Hanner, Beulah Murray, Callie Prine, and Delena Archer; and great grandchild Morgan Bone.

Visitation will be held Friday May 26, 2023 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bond Cemetery in Knobel.
