Gracie Wilson, 91, of Pocahontas, passed away November 7, 2024 at Corning Therapy and Living Center.
Mrs. Wilson was born November 21, 1932. She was an active member of First Apostolic Church in Corning where she loved to attend and spend time with her church family. The fellowship hall was named Gracie’s Hall in her honor. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking.
On November 22, 1952, she married Willard V. Wilson. They were married 50 years prior to his death on February 8, 2003.
Survivors include her Grandchildren Angela Oxford of Pocahontas and Randy “Bub” Halcomb, Jr. of Sheridan and ; great grandchildren Cody (Caitlin) Halcomb, Madison (Brandon) Wilmot, Leighton Halcomb, Little Gracie Halcomb, Kolton, Asher and Jasper Halcomb; great great grandchildren Finley Halcomb, Eleanor Halcomb, Evangeline Wilmot, and Cooper Halcomb; son-in-law Randy Halcomb of Pocahontas; her church family and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Ira and Pinkie (Willbanks) Goodman; daughter Doris Halcomb; grandchild Melissa Gail Halcomb; brothers Robert "Mosie" and Hoover Goodman; sister Daisy Wilson; nieces Sandra Mross, Carolyn Dates; and nephew Bobby Goodman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Apostolic Church Youth, 610 Kenmore St., Corning, AR 72422.
Visitation will be held Sunday November 10, 2024 from 5 to 6 p.m. at First Apostolic Church in Corning. Funeral service will follow at the church at 6 p.m. with Rev. Troy Johnson and Rev. Chris Dixon officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Newport Monday November 11, 2024 at 11 a.m.
