Harold Kent Carter, age 78, of Corning, Arkansas, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Born on June 7, 1947, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Harold was the son of Harold Henry and Iva Orene (Slaughter) Carter, both of whom preceded him in death. He dedicated many years of his career to serving as an OSHA inspector before retiring. Harold had a passion for reading and remained actively engaged in his community, often attending local town hall meetings.

On January 9, 1976, Harold married Margaret Arnold, and together they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, a testament to their enduring bond.

Harold is lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret; his son Kelly Carter and daughter-in-law Jessica of Dallas, Texas; his daughter Elizabeth and son-in-law Brad DeLaria of Belleville, Illinois; his sisters Kathy Buck and her husband Gary of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Rebecca Carter of Wabag, Papua New Guinea; as well as his grandsons Bradley and Brody DeLaria.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, May 25, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with Kelly Carter officiating.

Harold’s life will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew him for his dedication, kindness, and commitment to his community and family.
