Mr. Harold Ervin Maple, 96, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Maple was born in Peach Orchard, AR., on December 4, 1915. He was a retired farmer, he enjoyed playing solitaire, pitch and working puzzles. He was a founding member of the Clay County Water Board.
He married his wife Arah (Clark) Maple on April 6, 1935. She preceded him in death on August 7, 2005.
He is survived by a daughter-in-law Louise Maple of Cleveland, TX.; two granddaughters Lori Geldmacher, Sandy Maple Apricico; five great-grandchildren Christal Soup, Kyle Perney, Dylan Perney, Krystina Geldmacher, Payton Geldmacher and one great-great-granddaughter Lilly Maple.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents Amos and Mary (Schimming) Maple; one son Randall Maple; one daughter Mary Sue Maple; one grandson Steve Maple and one sister Earlene Barger.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Novemeber 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Earl Ladyman officiating. Burial will follow the service at Brownie Cemetery in Peach Orchard. Visitation will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Paragould Children's Home.
