Hattie Mae Coffell

Hattie Mae Coffell, 93, of Peach Orchard passed away February 16, 2020 at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould where she had resided since April 2016.

Hattie was born on September 12, 1926 in Clay County to the late Loise and Lucy Ferguson. She was a loving wife and mother and homemaker who lived her life in Peach Orchard. She enjoyed sitting with Son in their swing on the deck holding hands and drinking their coffee. They made many quilts in their living room together when it was too cold to sit outside. She enjoyed visiting with her grandkids and holding her great grandchildren.

On May 17, 1943, she married the love of her life, Lloyd Elwood Coffell, better known as “Son”.  He preceded her in death on April 15, 2013.

Survivors include sons Phillip (Janice) Coffell of Rector, Jeffery (Regina) Coffell of Harker Heights, TX and daughter Monica Boyd of Marmaduke; 14 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 22 great great grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Hattie was preceded in death by sons Danny Coffell and Michael “Mick” Coffell and three sisters.

A graveside service will be held February 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Pirtle Cemetery in Peach Orchard with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home. Burial will follow.
