Mrs. Hazel (Wilson) Smith, 91, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mrs. Smith was born in Lake City, AR., on April 17, 1928. She was a homemaker and babysitter who was lovingly known as Granny Smith. She worked at Rodger’s Produce in Pollard, AR., for 10 years. She was a member of Hickory Pentecost Church for about 11 years, then a member of Poplar Bluff Pentecost Church for 30 years. The last church she attended was Qulin Trinity Pentecost Church in Qulin, MO.

On October 12, 1944, she married David Perkins. She later married Ira Smith. They both preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters Linda Murray of Poplar Bluff, MO., Joyce Latimer of Piggott, AR., and Sandra Kay; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was also preceded in death by her parents Don and Elsie (Isom) Wilson; and a grandson Nathan Pringle.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Linda Murray officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 10:00 AM until the start of services.
