Mrs. Inita Clara Ahrent, 85, of Corning, AR., passed away Friday, June 15, 2012 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mrs. Ahrent was born in Corning, AR., on September 23, 1926. She was a homemaker; she was a lifelong caregiver, she loved her Bible education work and gardening. She attended college in California to be a business lawyer. She was a Jehovah’s Witness for 55 years.
She married her husband Vernon Otto Ahrent on February 26, 1955. He preceded her in death May 7, 2011.
She is survived by three sons Karl Ahrent and wife Susan of Jonesboro, AR., Ernest Ahrent of Springfield, MO., Warren Ahrent and wife Vicky of Corning, AR.; one daughter Amelia and husband Kevin Miiller of Corning, AR.; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Martin Van and Elsa Helene (Hartwig) Lafferty; identical twin sister Anita Headley and brother Carl Lafferty.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Steven Oliver officiating. Burial will follow the services in Williams Cemetery in Corning. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 12:30 PM until the time of service.
