Mr. Ira David King, Sr., 69, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Corning Living and Therapy Center in Corning. Mr. King was born in Caraway, AR., on August 26, 1942. He was a retired factory set-up operator, he enjoyed fishing, talking and drinking coffee. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of the Berean Baptist Church in Rockford, IL.
He married his wife Jeannie (Molencupp) King on April 28, 1972. She survives. Other survivors include two sons Jim Sheffield of Rockford, IL., Ira King, Jr. of Corning, AR.; three daughters Ada Snyder of Rockford, IL., Carolyn Sue Lane of Walnut Ridge, AR., Jaime King of Saint Louis, MO.; two brothers Bob King of Piedmont, MO., Larry King of Paragould, AR.; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Imogene King; two sisters Pamela Sue King and Sandra Kathleen Ferguson.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Public visitation will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2011.
