Mrs. Irene Haskins, 95, of Pocahontas, AR., passed away Monday February 15, 2016 at Randolph County Nursing Home in Pocahontas, AR. Mrs. Haskins was born in Datto, AR., on February 7, 1921. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to church, gardening and sewing. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Pocahontas, AR.
She married her husband of 57 years Mr. Clyde Prentiss Haskins on September 10, 1938. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1996.
She is survived by three sons Carl Haskins of Hernando, FL., Harold Haskins of Belleville, IL., Ronald Haskins of Pocahontas, AR.; one daughter Louella Knowlton of Sainte Genevieve, MO.; fourteen grandchildren; twenty eight great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Cordie Alford and Tobbitha Elizabeth (Hovis) Parish; one son Gerald Haskins; three brothers; six sisters including her twin; two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bruce Valle officiating. Burial will be in Richwoods Cemetery in Corning. Visitation will be held Friday, February 19, from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
