Mr. J.F. Ford of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at home. Mr. Ford was a retired Lineman, construction foreman and superintendent for Clay County Electric were he worked for 46 years, he was an ordained Deacon and member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Corning.
He married his wife Shirley May (Calvert) Ford on February 19, 1952, she survives. Other survivors include two daughters Debra and husband Jerry Spinks of Piedmont, MO., Janet and husband Mike Simmons of Corning, AR.; one brother Burley Ford of Kansas City, KS.; one sister Sharon Kay Jones of Kansas City, KS.; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents James Franklin and Elizabeth (Ingram) Ford; one brother J.M. Ford; two sisters Shirley Jones and Jewell Roark.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Larry Cockman, Keith Wooldridge and Jim Parrish officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be Thursday, August 5, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
