Mr. Jack D. Drowns, 72, of Corning, AR., passed away Friday, September 25, 2015 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mr. Drowns was born in Washington, IA., on June 15, 1943. He was a retired assembler from Basler Electric Company. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing and watching westerns.
He is survived by two daughters Stephanie and husband Jeff Bradish of McDougal, AR., Terry and husband William McCollum of Corning, AR.; three step-sons Jimmy Leach and wife Cathy of Corning, AR., Jay Leach of Bonneau, SC., Wayne Nickason and wife Jessica of Corning, AR.; four brothers Joe Drowns of Wilson, TX., Doyle Drowns of Vale, OR., Ernie Drowns of Cecilia, KY., Mike Drowns of Cedar Rapids, IA.; three sisters Cathy Bennett of Coleman, TX., Connie Kay Baker of Rock Island, IL., Elianea Garrison Of Rock Island, IL.; ten grandchildren Lauran Haley, Courtney Haley, Allison Bradish, Joseph Bradish, Makell McCollum, Haley Leach, Jay Leach, Maggie Nickason, Leah Leach, Lacey Leach; three great-grandchildren Bentley McCollum, Jhordyn Haley and Aubriana Killingsworth.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Chase) Drowns; his parents Wilson Woodrow and Olive (Brooks) Drowns; one brother Jerry Drowns and one sister Ann Adams.
A private family memorial service is planned for a later date.
