Mr. Jack Forrest, 88, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at home with his children by his side. Mr. Forrest was born in Pollard, AR., on December 28, 1931. He was a retired farmer and carpenter who enjoyed fishing and gardening. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, serving in Korea. He attended Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Corning.
On October 27, 1952 he married his wife Mildred Dillard. She preceded him in death on February 28, 2019. They were married 66 years prior to her passing.
Survivors include their children Bob Forrest and wife Linda of Jonesboro, AR., Donna and husband Mike Schott of Saint Louis, MO.; sister Georgia Householder of Corning, AR.; grandchildren Robert, Heather, Rodney, Brandy, Lacey, Kurt and Sarah; great-grandchildren Alexis, Tyler, Everett, Oliver, Grace, Millie, Morgan, Michael, Jack and Allie; and great-great-grandchildren Levi, Paisley, Kennedy, Lawson, Peyton and Brookland.
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his sons Jackie Forrest and Timmy Forrest; parents Orville Lee and Emma Gertrude (Reed) Forrest; sister Ruby Rooker; and granddaughter Andrea Forrest.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 2:00 PM in Post Oak Cemetery Near McDougal, AR., with Reverend Lavern Reed officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Post Oak Cemetery, 3618 CR 311, Pollard, AR 72456 or Grace Missionary Baptist Church, 603 W 3rd St., Corning, AR 72422.
