Mr. Jackie Ray Roark, 66, of McDougal, AR., passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at home. Mr. Roark was born in Pascola, MO., on October 20, 1948. He was a retired maintenance man and bus driver for the Corning School District. He enjoyed old cars and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Success, Arkansas Church of Christ.
He married the love of his life Wanda Mae (Brown) Roark on October 21, 1966 and was blessed to spend 48 years with her by his side. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters Karla and husband Bruce Newboles of McDougal, AR., Brenda and husband Bruce McGrew of Success, AR., Leanna and husband Mark Glasgow of McDougal, AR.; one sister Brenda and husband Danny Watson of Newton, AL.; two step-brothers; one step-sister; five grandchildren Matt Rigdon and wife Shelby, Kelsey and husband Matt Carpenter, Ethan Davis, Drake McGrew, Jaxon McGrew; three great-grandchildren Riley, Pyper, Rayner; four step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; lots of nieces, nephews, friends and church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul Roark and Birtha (Kelly) Roark-Wilder; step-father Russell Wilder and his half-brother Tom Edwards.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Bradshaw and Bruce McGrew officiating. Burial will follow the services at Post Oak Cemetery near McDougal. Visitation will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jason Guthrie, Virgil Rice, Terry Rapert, Jerry Turner, Keith Turner and Troy Redman.
