James Huggins

Mr. James Eugene Huggins, 83, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Mr. Huggins was born in the Hillstring Community near Datto, AR on May, 28, 1928. He was a retired General Manager from Clay County Electric Cooperative. He enjoyed fishing and volunteering in the ministry of the Agape Mission Outreach. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard, AR.

He married his wife Joyce Ann (Tippen) Huggins on September 29, 1992. She survives. Other survivors are two sons Mikey Huggins of Corning, AR., Gary Huggins and wife Pam of Russellville, AR.; three daughters Judy and husband John Van Kleef of Russellville, AR., Pam and husband Jimmy Manatt of Denver, CO., Jodi and husband Kelly Bounds of Delaplaine, AR.; one sister Eula Watson of Corning, AR.; niece Linda and husband Wayne Johnson of Corning, AR; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents George Thomas and Ola Mae (Dowdy) Huggins; one daughter Diana Essary and one sister Winnie Mabry.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Loy Culver and Don Settles officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Richwoods Cemetery in Corning. Public visitation will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
