Mr. James Woodford Miller, 74, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at home. Mr. Miller was born in Neelyville, MO., on March 23, 1941. He was retired from Housekeeping at the John J. Pershing V.A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO., he also work maintenance at McDonalds in Corning. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict Era. He was of the Christian faith.
He married his wife of 49 years Judy Annette (Hayes) Miller on June 30, 1966. She survives, other survivors include one son James C. Miller and special friend Zona Dolan of Corning, AR.; one daughter Angela and husband Brock Kepner of Corning, AR.; two grandsons Chris Kepner, Jesse Kepner; ane precious great-granddaughter Kyleigh Kepner; two brothers Murel Miller, Jr. and wife Patrice of Canyon Lake, TX., Jeff Miller and wife Emily of Brownsville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents Murel Clemon and Lamora Ellen (McCollum) Miller.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with George Michael Rhea officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery with Military honors. Visitation will be held Friday, January 22, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
