Mrs. Janis Imogene (Clark) Spinks 90, of Clarksdale, MS., formerly of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. Mrs. Spinks was born in Knobel, AR., on May 14, 1927. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Thorn Grove Freewill Baptist Church.
She married her husband of 44 years Mr. Jesse Adrian Spinks on November 27, 1948 he preceded her in death on May 1, 1993.
She is survived five sons John Duff and wife Jean of Alligator, MS., Jerry Spinks and wife Debra of Piedmont, MO., Rod Spinks and wife Dawn of Clarksdale, MS., Mike Spinks and wife Lynne of Little Rock, AR., Tim Spinks and wife Dotty of Clarksdale, MS.; twelve grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her parents Ervin J. and Eunice Grace (Phillips) Clark; her husband; one son Jim Spinks, one sister Naomi Arnold and one granddaughter Melissa Duff.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Hutto officiating. Burial will follow the services at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould, AR. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM until the time of service.
