J.B. Meeks

Mr. John Baxter "J.B." Meeks, 66, of Reyno, AR., passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. J.B. was born in Maynard, AR., on July 8, 1951. John Claud "J.C." Meeks and wife Willie Allene (Spencer) Meeks. He was a grandson of Willie Meeks and wife Edna (Johnston) Meeks and Henry Baxter Spencer and wife Etta Pearl (Stubblefield) Spencer. They preceded him in death.

J.B. was a heart transplant recipient of 32 years, and an organ donor. He was a truck driver who enjoyed fishing, arguing politics and spending time with his family. He attended Reyno Church of Christ.

On March 26, 1982, he married Marsha Bundren. She survives.

Other survivors include his children Baxter Meeks of Reyno, AR., Lindsay and husband Scott Baney of Jonesboro, AR.; sister Charlotte and husband Scott Rogers of Jonesboro, AR.; two grandchildren Madison and Brooklyn Baney.

Funeral service s will be conducted Monday, May 7, 2018 at 4:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with David Hedge and Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow the services at Johnston Cemetery in Reyno, AR. Visitation will be held Monday, May 7, 2018 from 3:00 PM until the time of sertvice.
