Jean Fairchild

Mrs. Lavada Jean Fairchild, 83, of Paragould, AR., passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould, AR. Mrs. Fairchild was born in Monette, AR., on October 14, 1932. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking. She was a member of Newton Street Church of Christ in Paragould, AR.

She married her husband of 64 years Thomas L. “Big T” Fairchild on November 12, 1948. He preceded her in death on April 26, 2013.

She is survived by four sons Thomas Leroy Fairchild and wife Deborah of Jonesboro, AR., James Fairchild and wife Paulette of Pinson, TN., Ron Fairchild and wife Lynn of Jackson, TN., David Fairchild and wife Myrna of De Soto, MO., two daughters Brenda Fairchild of Paragould, AR., Sandy and husband Mike Brown of Paragould, AR.; step-brother Billy Fox of Hopewell, VA; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nephews and nieces including caregivers Christina Fox and Rhonda Tomblin.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents Leroy W. and Nellie (Sweaney) Fox; grandchild Aaron Fairchild and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Barry Joiner officiating. Burial will follow the services at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, AR. Visitation will be held Friday, September 16, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
