Jeffery Benton

Mr. Jeffery Benton, 52, of Corning, AR., passed away at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Benton was born in Belleville, IL., on September 15, 1960. He was a construction worker and grocery store clerk, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was Church of Christ in faith.

He married Cathy (Handwork) Benton on July 20, 1984. She survives. Other survivors include two sons Joshua Lindsay of Des Arc, MO., Tyler Benton of Corning, AR.; two daughters Amanda Cook of New Berlin, IL., Kylie Arnold of Knob, AR.; father William Benton of Cahokia, IL.; two brothers Mike Benton of Granite City, IL., Jason Benton of Columbia, IL.; three sisters Wendy Harris of Cahokia, IL., Kim Voorhees of Granite City, IL., Kelly Nieman of Belleville, IL. and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother Judith (Benish) Benton.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Clayton officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, June 14, 2013 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
