Jerry Caughron

Mr. Jerry Caughron, 66, of Trumann, AR., passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. Mr. Caughron was born in Keiser, AR., on August 18, 1947. He was a licensed master electrician; he served in the Arkansas Army National Guard for 20 years. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, listening to music, playing his guitar and singing. He was of the Baptist faith.

He married his wife of 40 years Virginia Jewell (Calhoun) Caughron on Oct. 12, 1973, she survives. Other survivors include two sons Jeff Caughron and wife Leslie of Jackson, TN., Terry Caughron and wife Jo Carol of Harrisburg, AR.; three daughters Donna Carol and husband Greg Cash of Trumann, AR., Kimberly Eidson and fiancée John Diller of Trumann, AR., Tammy and husband Mark Taylor of Harrisburg, AR.; fifteen grandchildren Wade Jones, Chad Jones and wife Kelsey, Dylan Eidson, Taylor Eidson, Katie Smith, Justin Smith, Lindsey Caughron, Clint Caughron, Jordan Caughron, Lela Caughron, Claire Cook, Reed Cash, Avery Cash, Cody Peacock, Justin Peacock; two brothers Jeff Caughron and wife Debbie of Cherry Valley, AR., Rick Caughron and wife Betty of Harrisburg, AR.; two sisters Trudy and husband Jerry Griffith of Doniphan, MO., Sharon and husband Tom Lillard of Cave City, AR. and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lee Roy and Uva Mae (Champion) Caughron; two brothers Willie Ray Caughron and Curtis Wayne Caughron.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Febraury 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shawn Parker officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal. Visitation will be Monday, February 17, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
