Mr. Jerry Lynn McDonald, 74, of Strong, AR., passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Arkansas Hospice/Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. Mr. McDonald was born in Junction City, AR., on December 5, 1941. He was retired from working on a tow boat as a Diesel Engineer, in his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He was of the Baptist faith.
He married his wife of 31 years Mrs. Vida Verneal (Parker) McDonald on February 21, 1985. She survives. Other survivors include three sons Jeffery McDonald of Franklin, TN., Paul McDonald of Rayville, LA., Terry Street of Hattiesburg, MS.; five grandchildren Melissa McDonald, Taylor McDonald, Jake McDonald, Andrew Street, Jeremy Street; two great-grandchildren Gavin Street, Parker Street; three brothers Ronnie McDonald of Strong, AR., Joe McDonald of El Dorado, AR., Leonard McDonald, Jr. of Junction City, AR.; one sister Alice McDonald of West Monroe, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard E. and Marie A. (Pratt) McDonald; two grandsons Scott McDonald, Cody McDonald and one sister Betty Marie McDonald.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning, AR. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
