Jerry Reed

Mr. Gerald “Jerry” Frederick Reed, 68, of Poplar Bluff, MO., passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Reed was born in Joliet, IL., on February 10, 1946. He was a retired police officer, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps.

He married his wife of 41 years Donna Sue (Price) Reed on September 15, 1972, she survives. Other survivors include his sister Debra Lynn Glass; adopted brothers Ron and Jack; adopted sister Pat; niece Destiny, her husband Eddie and son Alex; several brother and sister-in-laws; nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents Grover and Ledia Bell (Lutrell) Reed; a brother-in-law Dave and a sister-in-law Geraldine.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, AR., with Denny Stormes officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, July 14, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.
