Jerry Dee Reeves

Mr. Jerry Dee Reeves, 78, of Corning, AR., passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Reeves was born in Success, AR., on November 27, 1939. He was retired from General Motors, he worked as a general contractor in the Corning area for many years. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of UAW Local 2164, in Bowling Green, KY. He was of the Baptist faith.

He married his wife of 59 years Mrs. Shirley Dean (Jordan) Reeves on April 9, 1959. She survives, other survivors include his son Jerry E.and wife Kristy Reeves of Corning, AR.; his daughter Shelley Dunn of Louisville, KY.; two granddaughters Shaley and husband Jason Ice, Jacquelynn and husband Lee Beal; a great-granddaughter Addison Dee Ice; one brother Bill Reeves of Neelyville, MO.; two sisters Penny and husband Paul Summers of Kansas City, MO., Janice Reeves Martin of Kansas City, MO.; two sister’s-in-law Ava Reeves, Eumeca Reeves and a little buddy that called him PePaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elbert U. and Elva (Verdier) Reeves; three brothers Carl “Sonny” Reeves, Bing Reeves, Charles Reeves and sister-in-law Ella Reeves.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 18, 2018 at 12:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Moore officiating. Burial will follow the services in Black Cemetery near Success, AR. Visitation will be held, Monday, June 18, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
