Jesse Dockins, Sr.

Mr. Jesse Lendle Dockins, Sr., 75, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas, AR. Mr. Dockins was born in Datto, AR., November 10, 1937. He was a retired farm hand. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Datto Missionary Baptist Church.
He married his wife of 46 years Betty Dockins on July 5, 1962. She preceded him in death on August 4, 2008.
He is survived by his son Jesse Dockins, Jr. of Datto, AR.; his daughter Sheri and husband Harold Robinson of Pocahontas, AR.; four brothers Carrol Dockins, Denzel Dockins, John Dockins, Larry Dockins; two sisters Thelma Haskins, Laura Laughlin; one grandson Marcus Eagan and wife Sarah of Pocahontas, AR. and one great-grandchild Hannah Jo Eagan.
He was also preceded in death by his wife and his parents Len and Trellis (Forbes) Dockins.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the services at Nelson Cemetery in Reyno, AR. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 31 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
