Jim Headley

Mr. Clarence Eugene "Jim" Headley, 88, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at home. Mr. Headley was born in Maynard, AR., on June 30, 1928. He retired from Corning Bank after thirty-one years of service. He enjoyed gardening and making picture frames. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the House of Prayer in Corning.

He married his wife Norma O. (Simpson) Headley on October 6, 1946. She survives. Other survivors include son Gene Headley of Corning, AR.; brother Paul Headley of Corning, AR.; sister Veda Asher of Richland, MO.; five grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Eugene and Mrytle (Rogers)Headley; brother Thomas Jackson Headley; daughter-in-law Linda Headley; two grand-daughters Leslie Reed and Lynette Payne.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
