Jimmie Williams

Mr. James Morris "Jimmie" Williams, 83, of Corning, AR., he passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Williams was born in Corning, AR., on June 14, 1934. He was a retired farmer, he also retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department. After retiring he spent his time mowing yards in the Corning area. Mr. Jimmie Williams was pastor of Main Street Pentecost Church in Corning, AR. for many years.

He married his wife of 54 years Mrs. Alice (Ervin) Williams on April 19, 1963. She survives, other survivors are one son Tim Williams and wife Teresa of Paragould, AR.: one daughter Amy and her husband Steven Williams of Paragould.

Preceded in death by parents Barney and Marie (Thompson) Williams; one brother J.L. Williams and sister Nellie York.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Floyd Ervin officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
