Jimmy Dale Chitty

Jimmy Dale Chitty, 65, of Tuckerman, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at his home.

Mr. Chitty was born July 2, 1960, in Corning. He was a retired welder and a true jack of all trades. In addition to his work career, Jimmy was a professional wrestler, a passion that stayed close to his heart throughout his life. He greatly enjoyed watching professional wrestling, Marvel and Star Wars movies, NASCAR, and following the NFL and MLB. In his spare time, he loved traveling, fishing, camping, and assembling model cars. Jimmy honorably served in the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his children, Jimmy Dale Chitty, Jr. of Tuckerman, Charraka Chitty of Tuckerman, Tasha Phillips of Ravenden Springs, and Dakota Armstrong and Jacob Armstrong, both of Tuckerman; brothers, Reggie Mansker and Jordan Watson of Newport; sisters, Ellen Babb of Cash and Lula Fay Edwards of Pocahontas; and grandchildren, Jayden and Kaylynn Chitty and Brody Davidson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Love (Bush) Chitty, and a brother-in-law, Roy Moore.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Jim Whaley, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Hitt Cemetery in Success.
