Joe Bass

Joe Bass, 72, of Gatewood, MO., passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at home. Mr. Bass was born February 23, 1950 in Lafe, AR. He worked in factories, performed carpentry, and was a United States Postal Worker during his life. He enjoyed fast draw shooting, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He attended Warm Springs Free Will Baptist Church near his home.

On March 2, 1973, he married Lynda Shasteen. They recently celebrated their 49 ^th wedding anniversary. In addition to his wife, other survivors include his children Brandi Jo Bass of Rison, Lindy Bass and Michael Johnson, both of Little Rock; brother Gary Bass of Corning; grandchildren Joe, Elysha, Brandon, Hannah, Rachael, Blayne and Peyton; and great grandchildren Zoey and Beckett.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joe H. Bass and Bonnie (Lane) Phillips.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022 at at 2:00 p.m. in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
