John Crossfield

John Crossfield, 89, of Corning passed away March 19, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.

Mr.  Crossfield was born November 5, 1931 in Greenway. He was a farmer and carpenter who proudly served his country in the US Army.

On July 8, 1955, he married Wanda Laverne Cate. They were married 64 years prior to her death on November 19, 2019.

He is survived by his children Gale Crossfield of Paragould, AR. Greg Crossfield of Corning, Carla Crossfield Morrow of Piggott, AR., Paula Crossfield Speer of Paragould, AR., Robbie Crossfield of Rector, AR., and Beth Crossfield Edington of Corning; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents William S. and Vera Lucille (Shaw) Crossfield and grandchildren Chasity and Logan Morrow, great great granddaughter Paisley Morrow, brothers Lester Crossfield, James Crossfield, and Wendell Crossfield.

Visitation will be March 21, 2021 at Ermert Funeral Home from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Ernie Cate officiating and Cliff Crossfield reading the eulogy. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard.
