John T. Hancock, 90, of Knobel passed away December 30, 2021 at home.
Mr. Hancock was born March 30, 1931 in Thorn Grove. He was a farmer and loved to attend auctions, yard sales, flea markets, collect antiques and spend time with his family.
On July 7, 1951, he married Virginia Alphin. They were married 69 years prior to her death on January 25, 2021.
Survivors include his children Johnny Lee Hancock of Knobel and Patricia (Tony) Gleghorn of Corning; grandchildren Tommy (Alisa) Hancock, Melessia (Mike) Woods, and Michael (Jessica) Gleghorn; and great grandchildren Shane (Alex) Woods and Tiffany (Chris) Reinhold, Bella Rae and Colt Michael Gleghorn.
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents Edward M. and Tommie Lee (Quarles) Hancock; and brothers Bill, Lee, Bobby, Martin and Harry Sloan Hancock.
Pallbearers will be Michael Ray Gleghorn, Tony Ray Gleghorn, Tommy Hancock, Bryan Bass, Shane Woods and Harold Hancock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Knobel Cemetery Association, PO Box 104, Knobel, AR 72435 or Cantwell-Redenbough Cemetery Association, 2188 Hwy. 62, Corning, AR 72422.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. the funeral home with Rev. Cam Stevens officiating. Burial will be at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel.
