John Rutledge

Mr. John C. Rutledge, 70, of Poplar Bluff, MO., formerly of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Westwood Hills Nursing Center in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Rutledge was born in Poplar Bluff, MO., on June 28, 1946. John was a dreamer that lived his life to the fullest. He had many endeavors while chasing his dreams. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a generous, loving Christian that would always help anyone in need. He will be dearly missed by his children, extended family and friends.

He is survived by two sons Mark Rutledge of Orlando, FL., Eric Rutledge of Lafe, AR.; two sisters Myra Clark of Springfield, MO., Carolyn Denton of Poplar Bluff, MO.; several other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lyman Carrol and Creasy Ellen (Wood) Rutledge; three sisters Eloise Morgan, Norene Duncan, and Marilyn Hunsaker.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Poplar Bluff City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, MO., with Military Honors.
