John Scheller

Mr. John Edwin Scheller, 73, of Peach Orchard, AR., passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at Pocahontas Nursing and Rehab Center in Pocahontas, AR. Mr. Scheller was born in Corning, AR., on October 9, 1942. He worked for many years as a Deck Hand on River Tow Boats. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He enjoyed writing poetry, crafting fishing nets and fishing. He was a member of the House of Prayer on Corning, AR.

He is survived by two brothers Joseph Scheller of Palm Bay, FL., Robert Scheller of Sumpter, SC.; two sisters Elizabeth Hick of Pocahontas, AR., Regina Scheller of Pocahontas, AR.; three step-daughters Bonnie Calhoun, Sherry Taylor, Peggy Hackworth; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jean (Smith) Hinklin-Scheller; his parents Edwin Frederick and Nell (Johnson) Scheller.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial with Military Honor's will follow the services at Saint Bernard Cemetery in Knobel, AR. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
