John Kelsey Vallance

John William Kelsey Vallance, 86, of Knobel, AR., passed from this life on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Five Rivers Medical Center in Pocahontas, AR. Mr. Vallance was born on December 31, 1935 in Peach Orchard, AR. He was retired from Arkansas Power & Light (Entergy) having been a lineman for over 30 years. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing guitar, singing, reading-studying and talking about the Bible, spending time with his children, grandchildren, other family and friends. He pastored at the Knobel Pentecostal Church for more than 16 years.

On March 28, 1958 he married the love of his life and wife for more than 58 years Ms. Lois Colleen Stormes, she preceded him in death on September 25, 2016. He is survived by son Anthony Vallance and wife Kim of Knobel, AR.; daughters Angelia and husband Bob Ryan of Paragould, AR., and Lola and husband Rick Holt of Beech Grove, AR.; brothers Harrison Vallance and wife Ann, and Donnie Vallance and wife Konnie, all of Hardy, AR.; sisters Barbara Sue and husband Howard Reynolds of Greenfield, TN., and Doris Householder of Paragould, AR.; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents Harrison and Bessie (Tyler) Vallance; a sister Vonalee Vallance; two brothers Laverne and Leon Vallance.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 23, 2022 at 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel, Graveside funeral services will follow at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, AR., at 2:00 PM with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating.
