Joseph Howard Hyland

Mr. Joseph Howard Hyland, 88, of Poplar Bluff, MO., passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Hyland was born in Neelyville, Mo. He was a retired operating engineer for Jim Francis Construction Co. in Bakersfield, CA., He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bakerfield, CA., and a member of Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, MO.

He married his wife Mazie (Smith) Hyland on June 8, 1946, she survives. Other survivors include one brother Glenn Hyland and wife Betty of Beebe, AR.; seven nieces; eight nephews; fifteen great-nieces and nephews; seven great-great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents George and Maude (Johnson) Hyland; four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, MO. with the Reverend Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will follow the service in Richwood Cemetery in Corning, AR. Public visitation will be at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
