Mrs. Josephine Garver, 93, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mrs. Garver was born in McDougal, AR., on October 21, 1923. She was a farmer and a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening. She was of the General Baptist faith.
She married her husband of 47 years Mr. Doyle Garver on September 8, 1940. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1988.
She is survived her three children Ronnie Garver and wife Pornchai of O’Fallon, MO., Jackie Garver and wife Melba of Poplar Bluff, MO., Judy Catt of Corning, AR.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great-grandchildren; one nephew and several friends.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Roy and Julie (McCleskey) Calhoun; brother James Calhoun; son-in-law Ronald Catt; and grandson-in-law Lonnie McKinney.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Jamey Bland officiating. Burial will follow services at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, AR. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
